Can you look in the eyes of the beauty and dare to see the beast?

The day after the Carnival you walk down the beach totally hungover bursting with anger: “All this rubbish everywhere, they are careless beasts!!!”
Your friend replies: “We are beasts, you mean?!”
You answer: “I didn’t use a straw for my 10 capirinhas”

Another Carnival just ended: 10,000,000L of beer were gulped by 500,000 foreigners and over 5,000,000 Brazilians… and that’s just the warm up.

Every globaltrotter has a dream to fest the streets of Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Florianópolis, Olinda… in the biggest and most vivid parties in the world, in a tropical sexual paradise. Forrrrrr surrrrrrre!

Oh mama, I love Brazil- my second home! and I must say first- this is the country that should serve as a role model for its outstanding joy of life and multi-racial fascinating blend. They know how to live!
They are the number 1 happy simple people (competing with the Philippines)
After all, what this life is all about if not to have some fun right?!

Yet, something inside of me sits uncomfortably.. I must admit.
For the last 5 years, I’ve been to 3–4 Carnivals, every single time, I found myself trying to…

I pour my heart involuntarily into words, since I found that writing is the ultimate solution for a nightmarish sailing journey. I can still connect with you :)
