Not Now
Not now…..
Not later…
Never.
There is no time to rest, first place, I race, it’s a contest.
I’m clinging to the boulder.. faster, higher, stronger. Cannot even bother to look across my shoulder.
Tick Tock, It’s forever o’clock. Do I ever dare to knock, gotta break into heaven’s lock.
Touchdown, another bruise, no worries let’s cruise, making an extra pound without ever touching the ground.
I’m busy, it’s easy, just leave me alone, I can’t stop, I’m on top and whoops I am gone.
Ring ring, it’s death calling, there is something hanging on your sling —
It’s life, It’s you, it’s not you, it’s success but how can you guess how long we’ll be playing chess… rollings stones, rock n’ roll, I suddenly fall, to the grave I crawl, it’s too late, for a last call, checkmate! Once and for all.
I wish you could, just, breathe for a second, you must, give me a hand, but, you know what, I was never even, willing to listen…
Well… I wish I had something smart to say at the end of my days, but hey, don’t cry for me, I’ll be silent ok.
