Shadow Boxing

Winter time
Time square
I finally dare
At myself to stare

Midday highfive
Sun high shadow hey
Where is the love?
Put on your boxing gloves

I cry, I laugh
He hasn’t left
he grabbs my arm
Where is my charm?

I kick, I poke
He knocks me down
Touchdown touchbase
I drown in myself

I let go trying to grow
He still follows it’s a no-go
I feel hollow but I still refuse to swallow
This horror scene myself my shadow

Woo woo woo police siren
We wake up together in prison
Don’t f*cking call me your bro
The cell reflects a painful echo

We wrestle
We cuddle
We hustle
We gamble

Our life turns into hell
Can I quit and ring the bell?
There is nothing to save
By sneaking into a grave

I pour my heart involuntarily into words, since I found that writing is the ultimate solution for a nightmarish sailing journey. I can still connect with you :)
