Thinking of You

and all the things that you wanted me to be

Mother & Father,

Shall we fixate the frame that’s swinging in the wind?
It’s been forever.

Shall we add some youthful green to the old Ceder tree?
Of the cemetery.

Shall we ask the graves again for forgotten stories?
We didn’t acknowledge.

Shall we attempt warmer hugs on summer nights?
I just don’t know who we are.

Shall we play classical music like we used to, silently?
Now that we listen.

Shall we collect fallen Pecans while irrigating the vegetables?
Birds are coming.

Shall we bath at port once more even the waters we know are gone?
The memories are fading too.

Shall we capture raindrops falling off our mutual rooftop?
Or each on their own.

Shall we double the portion of the porridge and eat together?
Play soccer in the garden.

Many things, thinking..
And all I ever wanted, was to be with you.

I pour my heart involuntarily into words, since I found that writing is the ultimate solution for a nightmarish sailing journey. I can still connect with you :)
